Meet The Teacher Information 2021-2022

Kyrene中学Families,

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! I am excited to welcome all of you to KMS’s in-person Meet the Teacher Night held Monday, July 26th. Below you will find detailed information regarding the logistics of our Meet the Teacher Night. Over the next week, I will be sending out a full introductory message, but I wanted to provide you this information as soon as possible.

Schedule:Meet the Teacher will be held in two blocks by last name (please see the schedule below). Students/families will follow the schedule that mirrors the student’s daily schedule. A bell will ring in between each class, signaling a rotation to the next class/teacher. Students will walk their schedules and teachers will be giving presentations. Please know thatthis is NOT an Open House,so it is extremely important to read and understand the information below in order to ensure you are in the right place at the right time.

Lunch Period:During the lunch period on the schedule, students and families are encouraged to go to the cafeteria to visit information tables. Tables will contain information about transportation, food services, athletics, etc. PTO and administration will also be in this area to answer any questions you may have.

Student Schedules:We willNOTbe printing student schedules before/during Meet the Teacher Night. Schedules will be available in ParentVue/Student Vue by 2 p.m. on July 26th. Please print, copy, or screenshot the schedule and bring it with you to Meet the Teacher so students/parents know which classrooms to attend for each period. If you have trouble accessing your schedule, please call 480-541-6600 for assistance (prior to 3:30pm on 7/26). Parents can also download the ParentVue app their phones using the attached instructions (please do not wait until you arrive on campus to do this).

Entering and Exiting the Building:Parking will be available in front of the administration building, as well as at the West Parking Lot in the back of the school and enter there between the F Building and the Gym.

Second Block (Last name M-Z):Students/families in the second block (last name M-Z) should not arrive prior to 6 p.m. We would like to minimize traffic and large groups congregating. Once students/families arrive, they can proceed directly to their 1stperiod classroom. Thank you!

We look very forward to seeing you in person and beginning an outstanding year at Kyrene Middle School. Thank you for your support, and as always, if you have any questions, please e-mail me atsmaxwell@kyrene.org.

Respectfully,

Scott Maxwell

Principal, Kyrene Middle School
