Mrs.Ordonez

I have been in Kyrene for all of my 18 years in education. During this time I have served as a clssroom teacher, math coach, academic interventionist and now, assistant principal.

My husband and I are both native Arizonans and have been married for 16 years. We have one son who is 13 and a feisty cat at home.I received my undergraduate degree from Arizona State University in Exercise Science and Physical Education in 1997 and spent a few years as an Athletic Trainer. In 2001, I went back to school and received my post-baccalaureate degree in Elementary Education. While working as an academic interventionist, I received my master's degree in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University in 2019.

Music and the Arts have always had a prominent role in my life. I started plaing the flute in 4th grade and have since learned to play the clarinet and the alto saxophone. Playing in a band was a part of my life through college. I was a member of the Arizona State University Sun Devil Marching and Concert Bands and of the National Honorary Band Fraternity, Kappa Kappa Psi. An organization devoted to the development of the arts in schools. As I think about how much music and the arts are a part of my life, I feel I was destined to be at Kyrene de la Paloma.
