I am Marisa Mackey, School Psychologist. I knew from 4^thgrade that I wanted to be a psychologist and since I have always loved school and learning, school psychology is a perfect fit for me.

What is a school psychologist anyway? Every school has one and we are considered to be experts at learning, behavior and emotions. We provide consultation, assessment and interventions to help students with anything that is interfering with learning.

We meet with students in groups and as individuals and help to develop skills like social skills and coping skills which may help with school and in life! We talk to parents about any concerns they have and convene team meetings to explore any issues and problem solve with the teams at KMS.

I consider it to be an extreme privilege to work with students, teachers and families and am thrilled to be back at KMS for year 6. I seek justice and compassion for all of our students.

I have three grown children who give me joy, and a husband who makes me laugh every day.
