Meet Assistant Principal Wilkinson

My name is Debbie Wilkinson, and I am proud to be the new Assistant Principal at Kyrene de las Lomas for the 2023-24 school year. I was born and raised in Anthony, Kansas and received my Bachelor of Science in Education from Emporia State University where I was a collegiate athlete in tennis, basketball and softball. I received my master’s degree from Northern Arizona University.

This school year marks my 34^thyear in education and my 27^thyear in Kyrene School District. During my time in Kyrene, I have worked as a teacher at Kyrene Traditional Academy (formerly Kyrene del Sureño), Kyrene Akimel A-al Middle School, Kyrene de la Colina and Kyrene de la Esperanza. More recently, I have worked as an Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Kyrene Altadeña Middle School. I have also been an Administrator at the Kyrene School District Office and Kyrene Aprende Middle School.

In my spare time, I enjoy sports and outdoor activities, including football, golf, paddle boarding and camping, as well as traveling with my family and friends.

I am excited to embark on this new journey at Kyrene de las Lomas and I am looking forward to a great year and getting to know the Lomas staff, students, and community!
